The PTR is a pioneering experience in Argentina, as it gathers the public sector (the Municipality of the City of Rosario and the Government of Santa Fe Province), the education sector (the National University of Rosario and the National University of Technology) and the private sector, represented by the partner companies that make up the PTR.
Through our strategic working axis we propose the development of a model based on innovation, in which the production of high-value added allows to generate sustainable growing conditions in the long term, driving the growth of the City of Rosario and its region, and allowing a better insertion in the international scenario.
Strategic working axis
The Área Tecnológica Nodo Rosario (Technological Area Node of Rosario) was established as the Official Technology Park of the Province by the Provincial Decree 4261/12.
The Area is projected in a space of approximately 12.5 acres in the site of the former Communications Battalion 121 of the City of Rosario (located in the south area of the city), which is part of a wider restructuring project that includes education, housing and sports.
This is a cutting-edge and innovative initiative that will allow to develop a modern and suitable platform that links knowledge with the community and production, and, from that approach, to develop human capacities, technologies, products and undertakings that have a positive impact on the quality of life of the society and in the sustainable development of the economy and of quality jobs in the region.
• Institutional Linkage
It promotes the linkage with governmental and non-governmental bodies, investigation sites, universities, business and international organizations, among others.
• Collaborative Strategic Projects
They consist of initiatives in which the Municipality and the Province, companies, universities and investigation sites are involved. These projects are particularly relevant as they constitute specific linkage opportunities through technological development and innovation.
• Education in the Society of Knowledge
It focuses on generating and promoting formal and informal training areas on technology, allowing society in general to have access to the current institutional capacities.
The Observatory focuses on generating genuine and territorial information related to the various aspects of the IT environment in Rosario and the region, and on the drive of the politics that allow to understand the demands and opportunities for growth of the sector and result in benefits for the society as a whole.
• Events and Community Management
The aim is to work with the different communities generated around the technology sector to promote the collaborative learning and the practices that will allow the integration of its members and the involvement of new participants. It develops and/or supports activities that gather one or more communities, with the aim of strengthening them and suggest new spaces for other sectors.
• Open Innovation
It articulates prominent actors of the scientific-technological system of Rosario and the region with the aim of creating participative and collaborative environments around basic and applied sciences, education and the communities in close relationship with the business sector giving companies the opportunity to address instances for innovation.
• Demand Generation
It identifies linkage opportunities with other production sectors, new businesses, association and joint working opportunities through projects that include the participation of member companies of the institution.
It promotes the internationalization of member companies through local efforts and linkage with other institutions and bodies.
• Training and Process Improvement
It focuses on providing training on cutting-edge technologies that will allow the city and the region to have the skilled staff needed to deal with technology changes. At the same time, it promotes the continued improvement of IT processes and services giving advice and implementing process related to quality and testing certifications.
It recommends and analyzes financing tools and resources, managing proposals and giving advice on the different active lines and programs.
